My business is booming and my schedule can be quite hectic. I may go a bit overboard but here's how I keep up with everything.

Monthly - I have a monthly calendar where I block schedule tasks that I have to do daily. As new projects come in, I add those based on about how long I think the project will take to complete. Tasks I need to do for my own business are treated like client work and get scheduled in so I'm sure they are done. I always include a 5 hour buffer each week in case something takes longer than anticipated.

Weekly - I look at what I have on my agenda to see where I may have free time to get a few extra tasks of my own done or to take on last-minute calls or emails. As I complete projects I mark my time next to it so if it comes up again, I can quickly look back to see how long it took to complete.

Daily - Each night when I'm finished for the day, I clean up my work space and get anything I need for the next day ready to go. That ensures I don't get frazzled first thing in the morning because I can't find something.

I have SO many hats thrown up in the air I feel overwhelmed.  The only way that I am able to keep up with all of my work is to make lists.  I love how you broke them down into monthly, weekly and daily assignments.

That would make it easier for me to prioritize.  Thanks for the tips.

Getting organized is a huge undertaking if you've allowed the clutter to get out of control.
1.      No clutter - No distraction
2.      Write it down
3.      Schedule block times to work on similar tasks
4.      Clean your filing cabinet.
5.      Use one calendar
6.      Set a timer
7.      Keep your receipts together
8.      Have a drawer organizer for all your small desk items
