Keeping Your Downline
Dec 28th, 2009, 12:52pm

When a member of your downline tells you she isn't sure whether she wants to stay in the business, what are the most effective ways to help keep her in?

I am a big believer in that you can't keep anyone who doesn't want to stay.   It's a waste of time and even if you get them to stay for a short time if their heart isn't in it they won't say around for long.

You always want to find out why they want to leave.  If their reasons why can be fixed then help them fix it.  If they are not passionate about the business anymore it may be better to let them go.

Hope that helps.

Great advice !!! Smiley
I know it is hard to let a downline go.. but there will be alot of come and go downlines.. that is something you just have to expect..You may not like it.. I know I sure dont..ha  but the ones that stay in it are the ones that are truely passionate about it, and you can focus on helping them succeed with their business..

Sometimes that is an out cry for help or something is overwhelming her personally. Try to see what the real reason is. Review how successful she has been. Tell her "what if I took that income away every month would it make a difference." Show her how to work through it personally and seperate personal on goings from work.

She started this job for a reason. Treat it as a real job with real hours to work it. If something is going on personally lether take a break and be supportive that will mean a ton. You just really need to know why?

I hope that helps!

People join busineses for all sorts of reasons.  Perhaps someone said BOO to her, or NO, and she's having 2nd thoughts.  All you can do is be there for her if she wants to talk.

IF she doesn't or is not motivated to succeed, there is nothing you can do.   You simply can't motivate anyone.   Ultimately they have to be coachable and willing and want to make that change.

Hi

This are all good advice.. Keep it up..
My thought is that find the reason why there mojo is gone out the door,
Was there someone maybe putting them down or it could just be because the financially situation
get them to make a list draw a line on the centre of the paper get them to write good things down on one side and the other side the bad things just to compare you got to understand in business there is ups and downs,
getting it all down on paper they will see the clear picture ,why maybe there mojo is out, maybe working too hard and not getting a break,  they may just need to step back take a few days off and hope for the best when they have come back then you know there heart and soul are really not in it for them anymore to have a business.

Hope the mojo comes back..Good luck.,,
